Five Not To Miss Festivals This Summer

With great company, a thoughtfully curated line up and a unique ambiance, music festivals are some of the best ways to experience live music. This summer will mark the return of the festival season in full force, as all major festivals throughout the world come back online. Coachella, Glastonbury, Electric Daisy Carnival, and other notable events are on pace to sell out (if they haven't already) as festival-goers are hungry to see their favorite artists on the big stages once more. Here are five music festivals in North America we recommend checking out this summer.

1. Bass Coast (Merritt, BC, Canada)

Nestled in the picturesque Nicola Valley, the small town of Merritt plays host to one of the most unique festivals out there. Bass Coast embodies an experimental mix of independent international and local music and compelling art. Featuring the likes of Claude Von Stroke, Ivy Lab, and Soul Clap among others, this festival and community will not disappoint!

2. Rolling Loud (Miami, FL, USA)

Rolling Loud stakes a claim as being the “Largest Hip-Hop Festival in the World” and looking at this year’s lineup in Miami (they also host the festival in New York, Portugal, Netherlands, and Toronto!) it’s hard to dispute that. This year’s edition features Ye, Future, and Kendrick Lamar as the main headliners throughout the three-day event.

3. Pitchfork Music Festival (Chicago, IL, USA)

Like its parent magazine, Pitchfork Music Festival features an eclectic and musically diverse line-up. Featuring The National and Parquet Courts on the Friday, Japanese Breakfast on Saturday, and The Roots and Toro y Moi on Sunday, this year’s 60,000 attendees are in for one heck of a ride.

4. Bonnaroo (Manchester, TN, USA)

Rolling Stone magazine once described this music and arts festival as one of "50 Moments That Changed Rock & Roll”. This year features 150+ artists from across the globe, along with comedic acts, workshops and so much more. Need a few days away from the routine and grind? Look no further than Bonnaroo.

5. Desert Daze (Lake Perris, CA, USA)

Featuring one of the most captivating locales on this list, Desert Daze combines that grand music festival feeling with a sense of escapism that is hard to match anywhere else. Surrounded by palm trees and the beautiful Lake Perris, the festival’s eclectic billing of artists are primed to deliver an unforgettable experience.
